This was my third time at the Gilson. Every stay has been great. The staff are very helpful, the rooms are always comfortable and clean, and the location is the best in Hull. The train station is only a 2 minutes walk from the hotel, a Wetherspoons is across the street and the museums are only about 10 minutes away.

Hotel is really close the the stationand convient for places to eat and drink. Room - it was more like a suite, with a lounge with TV and a bedroom and bathroom off - was specious, warm and had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and quick with what I needed. Bathroom has a whirlpool bath! All round great value for money, and I'd definitely stay again.

I usually stay in the Gilson when i come to Hull on business as it's very good value for money and centrally located. Check in staff always very friendly and efficient

Very good hotel, friendly staff, always someone at reception when needed, cleaners were also friendly and u would happily come back again and recommend the Gilson Hotel. Easy access to the city centre, plenty to see, so grab a bite to eat and drink, easy for football fans with the Humber Arena next to the hotel with live Sky Sports and you come out the hotel and ur in town

This is a budget hotel and in need of a bit of TLC, but overall, it was good value for the money. The room was spacious for a single with a double bed, a chair and a desk. It is conveniently located near the train station and although it houses three bars, was quiet.

The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The restaurant was undergoing refurbishment so we were able to order in food to our room. When we requested plates the young lady was more than happy to oblige. There was a huge television on the wall. The WiFi was free and there tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom was clean and there were plenty of clean towels.
